5 Paragraph Essay
Description:
In this writing assignment we had to write an opinion based 5 Paragraph essay on wether we think Shakespeare should be taught in school or not. To get our creative juices flowing we read 3 different articles which where about teachers opinions based on the subject "Should shakespeare be taught in schools?" then we learned to identify and use Logos, Ethos and Pathos .

Final 5 Paragraph Essay
Reflection:
Looking back at my essay I am proud of my work I think I did pretty well , But i could have done better if I used my time wisely. This essay made me challenge myself a lot since I do not like doing structured writing. I am better at creative writing in my opinion. But i am happy we got to do this essay since it gave me a glimpse of what an actual essay consists of. I just need to fix all those grammatical errors.

Original Shakespearean Sonnet
We began this writing assignment by first learning what a sonnet is and where it came from. a sonnet is a poem that consists of fourteen lines overall three quatrains which are four lines each , a couplet which are the last two lines. We used Shakespeare's sonnets as examples he used iambic pentameter in mostly all his sonnets so we used it as well and the rhyme scheme which needed to be ten syllables per line. The last word in each line has to rhyme with every other line because of the ABAB pattern but in each quatrain the last word in each line cant rhyme with the last quatrains besides the couplet. We first got a glimpse of writing a sonnet in our camping trip but we misjudged how hard it would be and each group only wrote one quatrain because we had to carefully follow all the rules needed.
This sonnet was the hardest yet best writing pieces I've experienced doing .It's not every writing essay or poem you get to talk about mayo with such hatred, at least not for me. This was the first time I ever got to express myself in such a classy/cool way just the hard work and long working hours of this sonnet. Although its not perfect and still needs some work because there are some lines that just don't make sense I pretty much laugh a little every time I read it and it makes me feel something and also the people who have read it and that's what i was going for. My challenges in this piece were making sure each line was ten syllables and I followed the rhyme scheme ,and my strengths where explaining mayo without saying the actual word.

In this writing assignment we had to create 3 different vignettes based on the book by Sandra Cisneros named 'The House on Mango Street.' we basically had to choose 3 different things to write about in a short paragraph with a lot of descriptive writing and figurative language.

Reflection;
When I look back at this writing assignment I feel like I have grown a lot with my creative writing skills and y descriptive language. I really enjoyed reading 'The House on Mango Street' because I could relate to a lot in that book and to the author. What really surprised me about my vignettes is how I never realized the fact that I am actually good at writing. When I was doing my one on one with Ms.Britt she was struck with my last Vignette '145' and I was surprised because thats the vignette that I thought was the worst one so it was nice looking at my work from another persons perspective.

In this assignment I was really challenged in the sense of I did not know what to write. Even though its the easiest thing to answer I kind of just wrote down all my goals in life and what i want to be because currently thats what I know I want to do. I wish i could have wrote more so I could look back to my writing and see if my mentality is still the same.
